Session Details

As a portrait photographer I offer personalised portrait sessions for children, families, and maternity. Each session is designed to capture genuine moments and emotions in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Whether in-studio or on location in Western Sydney, I focus on creating timeless images that reflect your unique story. Sessions include a pre-shoot consultation, guided posing, and a selection of beautifully edited images available as high-quality prints, wall art, and digital files.

2. Book Your Session

Book your session by paying the session fee to secure your desired date in our calendar. Once booking is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email including a Photography Welcome Guide with useful details about your session, styling tips, and more.

The session fee covers time in the studio and does not include digital images, prints or artwork; these are purchased at your online viewing and ordering appointment.

Before your session day, I’ll get in touch to walk you through the process and answer any last-minute questions.

3. Your Portrait Session

Portrait sessions are designed to be a fun, relaxed experience where you can truly be yourself. Whether it’s capturing the love within your family, the joy of childhood, or the beauty of motherhood, I focus on creating timeless images that feel authentic and full of emotion. I’ll guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident, so we can create beautiful portraits that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

The session will either be in my home studio in Oran Park or an outdoor area - as agreed on during our consultation. Portrait sessions are normally between 1 – 3 hours and can include clothing, backdrop and setup changes.

4. Online Viewing & Ordering

A collection of the best images taken during the session are carefully selected by me and presented to you on a password protected online gallery within approximately one week after your session.

This is when you will be able to view the images from the session and decide on your final images, package and artwork choices. All selected images will be artistically retouched using my painterly Fine Art style.

I am more than happy to provide assistance with choosing your images, as well as giving advice and suggestions on wall art products.

I offer a variety of options with artwork. There are a range of payment options available including Afterpay.

1. Get In Touch

Contact me via email or fill out the contact form and I will get in touch to discuss your vision, preferences, and any specific ideas you have in mind. I'll explain the process of the session and see if it's the perfect fit. We’ll cover everything from the style and mood of the portraits to wardrobe, locations as well as packages and artwork options.

After we’ve finalised a date for your photoshoot, I’ll send over the Portrait Session Booking link. The session fee is required to reserve your session date in our diary.

Have Questions?

1. How do I book a session?

You can book directly via BOOK NOW option or through my website’s Contact form or send an email on info@photographyworld.com.au and I will send you all the information you need to book your session. A session fee and signed contract are required to secure your date.

2. How much does it cost?

The $200 Portrait Session Fee is due when booking your session. This includes: planning of your session, your photography shoot, editing of all images and your private online viewing gallery. This fee is non-refundable, but transferable to another date.

3. When is the best time to book a maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best done between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable.

4. When should I book a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 5–14 days after birth for those sweet, sleepy poses. I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant to secure availability.

5. Where do sessions take place?

I offer both studio sessions (perfect for newborns, milestone portraits, and fine art family images) and outdoor sessions (great for golden hour family, maternity, and children’s portraits).

6. How long do sessions last?

  • Newborn sessions: 2–4 hours (with feeding, soothing, and breaks).

  • Maternity/Family/Children: 1–2 hours.

  • Mini sessions: 20–30 minutes.

7. What should we wear for our session?

Neutral, soft tones work beautifully. I’ll send you a styling guide and can assist with outfit choices to ensure your family’s look is coordinated but natural.

8. What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?

If it’s raining or too windy, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. Alternatively, we can move the session into the studio.

9. What if my child doesn’t cooperate during the session?

Don’t worry! I work with children all the time and use a relaxed, playful approach to keep them engaged. Breaks and fun prompts are part of the process.

10. Do you provide props and outfits?

Yes! For newborns and maternity sessions, I have a selection of wraps, blankets, props, and maternity gowns. You’re also welcome to bring sentimental items.

11. How many photos will we receive?

The number of images depends on your package. You’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your favourites for prints, wall art, or albums.

12. Can grandparents or extended family join the session?

Absolutely! Family is everything. Please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.

13. Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, flexible payment options are available for packages, wall art, and albums.

14. What if I need to reschedule because someone is unwell?

No problem, we can always reschedule for another day but please let me know as soon as possible. Your deposit is transferable to another date.

15. How long until we see our photos?

Your gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks after your session. I’ll also invite you for an ordering appointment to help you choose the best products for your home.

16. Do you offer retouching?

Yes, all final images are professionally edited for a natural but polished look. Special requests (scar removal, skin softening, etc.) can be accommodated.

17. Do you offer Gift Certificates?

Yes! Gift Certificates are available and make a beautiful present for baby showers, birthdays, Mother’s Day, or simply to surprise a loved one. They can be purchased for a specific package or a dollar amount.

18. Can we order prints, wall art, and albums?

Absolutely. I believe your images should live beyond the screen. I offer professional-grade prints, handcrafted albums, and custom wall art that turn your memories into heirlooms.
